New Card Making Video Tutorial - Inkjet Fixative And Watercolor
If you love to color in your own images, then you may have tried using watercolor…
Watercolor is a wonderful and very different way to color in your black and white images. But many of us stay away from using watercolor on our printables, for fear of the ink bleeding, and our images becoming blurry.
Well, it’s time to whip those watercolors out…
Here’s a little tutorial that will show you how to prepare your print outs so that they’re ready for adding watercolor paint to them. And to top it off, there’s also a quick card making idea in there too! Ye-hay!

Hi everyone!
I hope this video tutorial will inspire you to use watercolors.
Matt inkjet fixative is perfect for this!
Please excuse my bad use of the watercolor pencils - I’m a bit of a novice when it comes to using this medium! But nevertheless, I find it great fun and that’s what matters, right?
And of course, the Boudoir eKit is coming soon. What do you think of it from the sneaky peak so far?

I love your vidoes. I have learned so much for them. Could you do a video on creasing the paper for the cards,. Im new at this and I cant get my creases right. Thank you so much Brenda Rowton in Oklahoma.
Hi Brenda
Thanks so much for your lovely comments about the videos. So glad you like them!
Sure I’ll add your request to my ‘tutorial requests’ list. But in the meantime, try using a paper folder (also known as a bone folder) when you crease your cards. They’re really cheap and give your cards a nice, clean, crisp fold. Alternatively, if you want to push the boat out, try getting a scoring board like Scor-Pal or Scor-It! They’re pricey but they can be lots of fun.

I am definitely inspired to use water colors; my method is usually cut outs and paste like a collage with 3-D height using glue dots. I love, love, love the watercolor idea! Beautiful! Thanks for your e-mail and video.

Debbie - So glad you like the video! I’m really sorry that we can’t accept cheques at the moment. I did look into it but the system isn’t ‘cheque’ friendly I’m afraid. But if you’d like us to walk you through the ordering process, feel free to get in touch here…
Also, I’ve added a little information about the security of our eshop. I know that many of our customers are new to ordering online, so I just wanted to reassure everyone that we take this very seriously. Please rest assured that your card details are safe. You can read a little more about how safe your details will be here…

Will you ship to the United States?
Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments!
I have a feeling matt fixative manufacturers are going to be seeing loads of card making customers! Ha ha!
Seriously though, I really love the stuff now (although it can be a bit stinky - I tend to spray it outside and leave it for a few minutes before bringing it in).
Barbara - Yes, you’re welcome to order from us from the United States. We have a large number of overseas customers, many of whom we do business with on a regular basis, via the Internet. So you’re welcome to place your order via the eShop anytime you like.
If you’d like to find out how much the eKits will cost in your own currency, here’s a useful page that includes a link to a currency converter…
All our products (at the moment) are downloadable printable products anyway, so you’ll be able to download your order immediately and get started straight away. :0)

the video was very informative and gave interesting tips
thank you will try this do you need to use watercolor paper
Thanks everyone!
Sam - Glad you’re liking the sneaky peek of the Boudoir eKit!
Irene - No, you don’t need to print on watercolor paper. I just printed the ‘Boudoir’ sheet onto plain inkjet paper. Then I sprayed it with the Matt Fixative Spray (make sure it’s matt because satin and glossy finishes will just make the water slip off).

Hi Claire! What a fabulous idea to use this spray, love the printables you’ve created and this new Boudoir kit looks fab! thank you for the freebies when I first subscribed to your newsletter, they are all brilliant! Many thanks, Ruby.
Thank you for doing the video makes it easy to understand and try. Loved the idea great thanks.
Hi Claire,
Another very informative video!!
Hadn’t heard of Matt inkjet Fixative before, so will try to use on future projects!!
Thank you
Caroline
As i’m still fairly new to crafting this is really helpful as I’m never quite sure what to do with black and white images - all my previous attempts with coloured pens tend to look like children’s drawings - great for kids cards. This watercolour technique however looks much more professional, thank you!
Wow!! That is brilliant! I will definitely try that - thank you so much
Hi, thanks for a great tip it will make it so much easier to colour in printouts from my computer.
Can I just make a comment, personally I find the background music a bit too distracting maybe you could make it a lot quieter as it does spoil the tutorials. Hope you do not mind me sayin this.
Eileen - You’re welcome! Thanks for letting me know about the background music. I always wonder if people would prefer it quieter, louder, or not at all! I think I’ll ask people in a survey at one point, just to see what everyone thinks. :0)
thanks for the video clair
a great idea i will certainly give this a go
and thank you for sharing your ideas with us
from Gladys
Hi Claire, your video was insparational now that you have given us the tip about the fixative sparys, I will now try my hand at using water colours and not have to worry about it bleeding.

I found your video very useful. Can you please let me know where I can get the fixative spray from.
Joan - I get my fixative sprays (and Epson ink and blank DVDs) from an online shop called ‘7dayshop.com‘. I’m not affiliated with them in anyway but I’d recommend them as I’ve always received my orders - and check out how cheap the Epson branded ink is! Miles cheaper than anywhere I’ve seen for branded ink. ‘Tis a fab shop indeed.

Kathy
thank you for anotrher very clear video
thank you so much for the video for using ink jet fixative spray, i wondered how others got their watercolour so that it didn’t bleed on printed pictures :-))
Hello Claire,
Just a note to let you know how much I appreciate this video tutoriial.
I really learned a lot from it! Where do you sell your handmade cards? I’m sure they are just sensational.
I was out painting in the park today. I did a few abstract paintings. I might use for my album cover.
Keep up the good work! I sold a note card on ebay today. I’m going back to work soon and will surely purchase some of your products soon.
Thanks again for all of your tutorials.
Thelma Harcum
just taken up cardmaking recentley & your videos are a great help. You make it look so easy.
I didn’t know about the fixative so I really enjoyed hearing about that! I’m been trying to do water color! It bleeds something awfiul. Now I’m readly to try it again! Thanks so much for such an informative video!!!!
This was a wonderful video. I have never heard of Ink-Jet Fixative. Where can I buy it? I use watercolor pencils all the time.
Sheila - Fab to hear you use watercolor pencils! I’m still learning how to use them properly (any tips?) but am loving them! Re. where to get your matt inkjet fixative, here’s my reply…
Claire

Interesting tutorial, I am off to find the fixative. Thank you for another get tutorial.
Donna
What a wonderful idea to use the fixitive spray, I definetly will grab some if I can find some in australia. Thanks for the idea
Neat video - thanks!
Dear Claire,
Loved the idea of using Matt Ink-jet and water-colour pencils.
The video is well done and I appreciate your sharing the ideas.
Keep it up and good luck.
Tiyani
Loved the tip - did not know that there was such a thing as ink jet fixative - can’t wait until the boudoir kit comes out - thank you for your time
This card is just beautiful. I love water colors but have not used them much as they never turned out very good. Now I know what to do to make them look nice. Thanks a Bunch, Mbunch
Wow! I’ve never heard of Inkjet Fixative before, but I love painting with watercolors so it seems ideal for me. Up until now I’ve been tracing my images in pencil, filling in with watercolor and then outlining in black ink to get the same look. This video has great tips in it and I love getting your newsletter. Thank you.
Another great tutorial.
Just as a matter of interest, I am using a Lexmark printer, and they make a waterproof inkjet cartridge. It is a little more expensive though.
I will admit most of my print-outs are done on a Canon printer so I might have to look around for some of that spray.
Cheers,
Bazza
Barry - interesting! I didn’t know Lexmark did waterproof ink. Great idea! I wonder if Epson do waterproof ink cartridges too? Still if the waterproof cartridges are a lot more expensive then using a matt fixative spray may be a more cost effective option for you as it’s not that expensive for the amount of spray you get (in my humble opinion). Thanks for the tip!

Hi Claire thank you for the video, and the tips, keep them coming, have used the floradoodle papers they are great val
Really love your turorials, I live in Bulgaria and there are not many English cards over here, so now I make my own and you have given me so many ideas, I use your floradoodle kit so much and my family love my cards, thanks so much
Thank you. I love the tutorials and have learned a bunch.
The fixative is great and it is sold in the US. As usual if you want to find something just google it.
I loved the video I also never knew there was a fixative spray for printed items, this is something I shall be getting as I love printing on pearl paper.
Thanks for all the great tips.
Thanks for this - I’ve tried adding watercolour to stamped images and they smudge - matt fixative spray is definitely on my shopping list! Like the look of the Boudoir kit too.
great video - very informative. by the way - you have very beautiful, graceful hands!!
Your most welcome everyone! :0)
Diane - Yep! No need to go buy special paper. I just print mine on inkjet paper and then spray with the matt fixative spray. Works great.
Rosie - Oh if you could see me blush! Ha ha! Thank you very much
i like the idea that you can spray any paper and don’t have to go out and buy watercolour card!! very handy, as always like your videos. Diane
What a great idea, I go to watercolour classes and make cards but have never tried watercolour on printed images on inkjet paper. I shall certainly give it a go. I have tried painting glazes on but the ink always blurs so the gloss spray sounds ideal also. Well done another great tip
Glendap - Oooh painting glazes sounds fun. I’ve been eyeing some glazes up myself. And just to reiterate Glendap - you need matt inkjet fixative spray, not glossy (or the water will just slide off).
Hi Claire
What a fantastic video. Thank you.
I agree with earlier person who said yours is the best craft website, you make everything look so easy and its great to refer back when you are a bit uncertain about how to do anything, keep up the wonderful work
Love Barbara
You’re welcome Jeannie!
Barbara - Oh my goodness, you don’t know how much that means to me. It makes all the work we put into this site all worthwhile. Thanks so much Barbara. I’m certainly a very smiley Claire today!
really interesting and different. Thanks.
I amdefinetly going to try my hand at this wonderful technique.
Thanks Claire, another very good tutorial.
Very informative and easy to follow.
Keep them coming and thanks again.
Hello there
I just bought some watercolour pencils just like yours from Harrogate at the weekend and was thrilled with your demonstration on how to use them on a printable. Many thanks and keep on sending through your super videos.
There are tips, and there are tips. This has to be one of the best yet.
Thank you.
Claire, Thanks so much for the information, I have a can of Fixative and now will give it a try. You have such a great site and I learn something every time I watch your videos. Again, thank you
Lisa
Wow another product I need thank for the video very helpful.
I bought some watercolor pencils but haven’t used them. Watching your video makes it look so easy.. Thanks for wonderful information
Dear Claire,
Thanks again for a very clear instructive video. I can’t wait to use water colours in the way shown, having used an Inkjet matt spray first!! All the tips re safety etc are very helpful.
The new kit looks great. I am looking forward to my priority notification of its availability.
Best wishes, Julia
Thanks for the vidio “what a good idea” I am now on the serch for yet more equipment for my card making, I do like water colouring so will find the spray very useful
Thanks for all your lovely tips. Can’t wait for the next one.
Hi Claire The video was very good! the spray is on my shopping list now!!!
Thank you so much for the informative video. I didn’t know matt inkjet fixative spray existed! I love to watercolor and now I can use watercolor on printed images. Thanks again for making and sharing your videos. I always learn something from you.
Love the videos its so much easier when you see it done. I look forward to receiving information from your site. I would like to start selling my cards at Fetes etc. do you have any instructions, tips on doing so.
Thanks
Thanks for the tip on water colour. I have only used my Dove blending pen for that techinique and sometimes end up roughing up my image surace accidentally. Also, I can’t wait until I can find the time to make the “aged flowers” from your last tutorial. Your new ekit is “WOW”.
A fantastic idea and thank you for putting them out free for users! Really appreciate it.
I enjoyed watching the vidio and will try the spray
Thank you so much for the tip, I have been having problems and now I know why!
Thank you for the great video and information. Yipee! Now I can colour my inkjet images. I love the look of Boudoir ekit, I will have to start saving…lol
Video great.
Would you ever do a video of parchment crafting?
Also where can one purchase the spray?
What a fantastic idea. The majority of my card making includes watercolor elements. All I need to do now is to find out where I can get it from.thank-you.
Thanks everyone! So glad you’ve found the fixative tutorial useful! And glad you’re liking the look of the Boudoir ekit too!
Helen - I’ll certainly add your parchment crafting tutorial request to my list. I’ll try and do a survey at some point asking what people would like me to do next. So much to do so little time!

many thanks Kath
What a great video. Nice to be able to see exactly what you mean.I haven’t tried the spray before but will certainly use it in the future. It’s great to have such a wonderful on-line arts and crafts service.
Many thanks
Patricia
Fab video..Luvverly papers….great idea, glad I saw this before I started using water colour on my printout’s..I wonder if it works with the ink you use for stamping too. Great site…thanx so much for my freebies..great designs too.
Thanks everyone!
Grace - Glad you like the look of Boudoir. It’s one of my favorites and I think you’ll love it. ;0) I’ll let everyone know when it’s available via the Priority Notification List, so feel free to sign up if you haven’t already.
Robyn - Interesting you should ask that. I’ve been thinking of putting together a marketing course for card makers, to share my marketing knowledge with them, to help sell their cards in various ways. I’m just not sure if people would be interested in that? It would take a lot of work, so I’d need to be sure that people would be interested before going ahead.
super clear and easy to follow videos.
Hi there,
Well inspiration comes in so many ways, and wow you have just inspired me to try another new way to make my cards and my other art work more interesting and more fun I do Watercolour painting and now I can use it in a whole new way. Thanks for all your inspiration.
Thanks
Anne.
Wonderfully informative! Thank you for letting us know about a great new product, & a beautiful new card. You are very generous with your art . You’ve taken card making to a whole new level! I love hearing your voice; it makes me sad that we here in the States are not British subjects
Elyzabeth
Thank you so much for the free new video! You are always so informative and in showing the actual products you used, really helps me to know exactly what to look for. You are so creative and I truly appreciate it … keep it up girl! I definitely got on the list for the e-kit … can’t wait!
what a great idea but where can i buy this spray as i am very new to water colouring and have not had very good results. can this spray be applied to stamped images as well?
Thanks Clare
I would never have thought of using those sprays let alone watercolouring printables. Brilliant idea!!!
Thankyou ,Thankyou ,Thankyou, so much for your Tutorials .I especially love this one ,`cos I have Water Colour pencils ,and I`ve tried to paint my Stamped images and they just ran,I didn`t know about these fixatives , but now I`m definatley going to try some.I`m so glad I found your site .It`s so helpfull to all crafters .Hugs Cazxx
As always, your tutorials are fantastic. I only wish I had more time and money to do all the wonderful ideas and freebies you give out.
I really look forward to going into my e-mails and seeing I have received one from you.
Thank you so much for the wonderful video and it came just in time as i am ready to try my new water paints and would never have thought to purchase those two spray items.
your tutorials are great and practical and i love getting them. Keep up the good work. this is the second video i have seen and have gotten so much pleasure watching them.
again thanks loads! looking forward to many more.
hugs,
diana
Yet another very professional and informative video. Can’t wait to try the spray.
Keep up the good work. I really look forward to getting your e-mails.
Excellent !!!!!!
Thanks for the video. I like to water colour with brush markers as you can get stronger deep colour more quickly than with water colour pencils. I also like to do quite detailed shading not just a wash of colour. Do you know if working on top of the fixative will allow that?
I always look forward with anticipation to the demonstration videos and each time they are so practical and simple. I bought a set of watercolour pencils for Christmas and have been looking for a simple, step by step of how to use them. Your video is clear and concise and shows that an ‘expensive’ result can be obtained by some simple techniques. I would like to know on what weight or type of paper you print your patterns from your kits. I have tried various types, but they are never satisfactory enough to use. thanks again Cyndi
Great ideas and wonderful tips on hand made cards. I can’t wait to try some of them. Thank you so much!!! You are so creative.
I agree with ALL the lovely positive commemnts. Don’t know how you find time to make videos and designs of this quality. Any clues please as to where I can buy the fixative and what it is called? I’ve smudged sooooo many pics in the past!
When I watched the viedo it went to what happen if water was added but didn’t show what happened. It showed more or again. If I pushed more it showed unzipping files and that was it. If I pushed again it only went that far again. So I really didn’t learn anything.
Hi Claire,
Thanks for the great tip. Ive been after something for a long time.
Keep the tips coming please……
High Claire
I just love your videos and enjoy making your cards!
Please keep them coming!
Wonderful idea! Thanks for sharing this tecnique!
I think the fixative sprays will be really usefull. I will not be confined to just using stamps and stazon now. Thanks for bringing this product to my attention. Love the making handmade cards website too.
Wow! Thanks. I’ve even seen bleeding with certain stampads when using marking pens. Now I know how to bypass that problem. Thanks a lot!
P. S. Where do you buy the Inkjet Fixative Spray?
I loved the video and ideas. When, or when, are you coming out w/the Boudoir patterns? They’re so beautiful! Feel like we’re being teased. Just a little humor here! Ü
Thanks so much, as always, Claire, for sharing your extraordinary talents once again.
Love it Love it Love it
The lot !!!
Keep it comming
Cant wait for the launch
Hi Caire, I finally have a moment to comment on your very informative tutes. One thing in particular I’d mention is how much I appreciate that you don’t race through them. This is a common issue with US stamping tutes.
I’d also like to thank you for the freebies I recieved as one of the first 100 to join your club. I had everything out and ready to go the night before. Getting up at 6AM here on Saturday, was so worth it.
Your site has my vote as one of the best in the new world of digi-craft.
Thank you.
this has given me another insight will try this for sure. many thanks for your many freebies.much appreciated
thanks for the great video tutorial. I love this idea. You are very very good at what you do. thank you so much for sharing. I am a very novice card maker and can use all of the help I can get!
Very informative. Was particularly interested in the glossy fixative and will be looking for some next time I come to UK.
Yet another new technique to try out! Thank you so much. Now I just have to find some time to ‘play’ with all these new ideas.
I didn’t even know they made inkjet spray - lots of ideas spring to mind!
Very interesting. But tooo long. I don’t see everything, because it’ boring.
Very nice…can’t wait to try this…Thank you
I always enjoy your videos because you go into detail with your work. I live in Florida and I don’t believe our craft stores have that spray, but I will look for it. Thanks so much.
Very interesting. Always nice to hear of new ideas. Will check if the spray is available here in Australia as I would be most interested in using it. Thank you for your valuable tutorials
Hi Claire, This is the first time I have left a comment. I have been very impressed with all the vidoe tutorials, especially the flower making one. I was so impressed that I gave your email to my next door neighbour who has now joined the email club. I am from Australia and have been really impressed with everything you have sent. Thanks heaps. Julie
Boy what a great thing to have on hand. I’m in Canada so I hope I can find it here. I’m already thinking different things I can use it on.
Thanx much.
Well, I have just bought some watercolour paper.Your tutorial has come just in time as I had not a clue about the spray. I find I shy away from anything done by hand so I will have a go defo, when I have found where to find the spray.I was thinking maybe we could use the gloss spray or some decoupage gloss over the top when it is finished to give a bit of shine to the bodice.I never knew there were so many members, thought it was just me and a team of designers lol. With all the coments left it tells me there are many! Thanks keep them coming! Linda
Hi Just another quick note, many of you are asking where to get the fixative spray. If you put in the word Ghiant on ebay, you will find it.
Thank you for the information on the fixative spray. I’ve only been using the digital images for a short while and have been very leery about watercoloring them. This is exactly the answer.
Thankyou for the info on the inkjet fixative spray, I’ve not seen it before, but will lookout for it here in Australia. Your card making ideas and freebies are much appreciated.
Well I must say I have learned something tonight, I have been having a nightmare with my stamps ‘bleeding’ so now I know what to do.
Many thanks for all your tips
great tutorial will be having a go with the spray on all stamped and printed imagies
Wow Thanks for the video The spray is just what I was looking for but didn’t know it. Just need to find some now and get going.
Hey Y’all! Thanks so much for answering a question I’ve had about being able to color what I print out. I hadn’t asked because my printer is still down, and has been for months. So any ekits I have gotten, I still haven’t used. I’m hoping it will be fixed soon. But at least now I now what to get.
Thanks for the vidio, I will have a go at watercolour now. when I find some fixative! Sue
Hi, very informative, interesting, clear videos, I look forward to each one, keep them comming. Bren
Thank you for another great tip. Can’t wait for the next video.
Thanks for making it look easy……even a newbie like me can produce a beautiful card!!!
Thanks for the tutorial.
I learn something new all the time and thats good for a 90 year old.
Enjoy always trying new things.
This is a very useful tutorial! I have been wondering how I can use my water colours for card making.
You have been very kind in giving tutorials. Thank you so much!!
Where can you buy this inkjet fixative from in Australia?
I enjoy the Video Tutorials thanks for sending them.
Thank so much for this video, it was wonderfully informative. I have had fixative spray for a while now and never thought of using it before using water color. I will try this today as I am busy making some Christmas cards for family and friends.
Thank you! This is the first video that I watched and I really enjoyed it! Can’t watch to view more!
Thanks for the great tutorial. I can’t wait to get some to try! I love using my watercolor pencils but always end up with that blurry look. Good to know there’s something out there to help! : )
Hi Claire,
I am sitting at my desk watching your latest video, I use a lot of waterpaints and pastel crayons, sometimes together. I have a tin of spray fixative and have used it often, BUT I have never thought of using it to spray my printouts so that I can watercolour them, I spray the pastels after painting with them (you can use them like water paints/ pencils, and a damp brush)
Jot down another one to you my friend.
Great tutorials, always inspiring! you are so generous sharing your ideas and techniques, Thank YOU! a breath of fresh air, happy crafting x
Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into doing these free tutorials for all of us. There is so much to learn and remember. Good tips are always appreciated!
Thanks for the video it was good to view a simple video which explains things so simply i.ve not tried water colours as of yet as I am still new to card making but hope to give it a go soon Thanks
Even though this is the first time I have commented on your videos, I do really appreciate them very much. You explain things so very well that even I ( who has to do things over and over again before I usually get it,) can grasp the technique. Thank you a hundred times over. Cher
Loved your tutorial - really inspirational. I’ve been using watercolour pencils for a while now (got mine from Tescos!!)- great for on holiday ( but I get my husband to blend me the shades from his tubes). when you sharpen the pencils, don’t throw away the shavings as they can be used too!!
Keep the tuts coming - they are great.
I agree that this site is one of the best
love the totorials find them very helpful and easy to understand.iris
Everyone has said it all already, fantastic video and clear precise instructions. I have been a fan from the start and look foward to your emails. I really like this latest one and will look out for the fixative spray as I would be interested in trying it out.
Thank you for the great way you help beginers and established crafters.
thank you for your great help i am only starting
Thank you for the very helpful videos and tutorials they include such detail and it has given me so many ideas for making cards as I am a novice at this craft and has inspired me to go on to do more card making.
I also like the emails I receive as I know that this may contain a new and exciting aspect which I can try at my leisure.
please keep up the excellant work you produce.
Thank you again Claire for a most interesting and informative video.
I now feel more confident about using water colors.

Hi Claire You just keep me coming back for more. All this wonderful work you produce and share with the world is just fantastic. Many many thanks for inspiring us all to have a go. Your videos are well presented and understandable which is very important. Once again many thanks.

Hi I enjoy all of your videos. they are really easy to follow. Keep them coming.
So many buyers have asked me about inkjet printing and using “markers” regarding my digital images, especially Copic Markers … so I’ve added your link onto my next blog post because I know this will be just as informative to them as it was to me! Enjoying your videos! Diane :0)
This has been my biggest issue - inkjet bleeding! I don’t know where to find it here, however, as we are living on a US Air Base in Germany. I’ll have to start searching. Thanks for the huge tips about using glossy vs satin vs. matte! I never thought about spraying my printed background papers with something to change the ‘feel’ of them!
Thanks so much!
Just when I thought I had bought everything I would ever need for card making, you go and release this video! Guess I need to go shopping again. Thanks for the info.
Thank You Claire, once again GREAT tutorial. Hadn’t heard of the Inkjet fixative, going to go out and find me some.
Wow!! That was a great tutorial!!
:) I need one of them now!!
great video. first time ive seen watercolours used after spray. will think about having a go myself. thanks claire - sorry not commented before as im not well, veronica
I liked the tutorial very much, thank you. I plan to try it out later. I did have a go at the paper flowers and used up some old papers I didn’t like any more but instead of colouring with inks , I used chalks which worked out well.
Am enjoying the videos. I’ve been card making a long time and so far there’s not much I haven’t already learned but I love the way your simple friendly approach makes me want to jump up (ok creak up) and make a card. I already have the mat spray but have just realised what an asset the other two sprays would be. Have you tried them over mica pigment sprays for instance. Made the flower last week and my first attempt was uneven but made into a flower-aged with distress inks, sprayed with glimmer mists and a velvet brad in the middle it looks fandabbydosy. Must try it with the set I bought from you! Thanks Betty
Thanks for the tutorial. I was disappointed that you didn’t do an unsprayed image as well for comparison, as it did appear to me that the colour was smudgy.
Hello Claire,
Thankyou so much for the time you must put in to this fabulous site, Unfortunately our printer has gremlins and does not work any longer, we need to purchase another one. As yet I haven’t been able to download any papers including the Floradoodle. Hopefully we will get a new printer soon and I can create once more. Todays tips for water colours are great, again thankyou so much.
Joy.
i just saw that in a catalog, and wondered how to make it. can you use stamping images also ? with the the sprays and the water colors. anyway very nice jan lauer
SUPER!!!! What a fab idea, I’ve been using inkjet spray for sealing photographs printed from my computer, I picked up this piece of info after I noticed they didn’t seem to hold colour like studio printed ones - this gives them a professional finish and durability like the real thing, I also make birthday, wedding and all kinds of presentation cd’s using printable discs and use this product. Can I just say in terms of cost effectiveness I bought 3 cans in 2005 and I’ve still got approx ⅔rds of the 3rd can left - at a cost then £11.50 inc p&p it has worked out very cheap. Back to this subject, another great video I’m most certainly going to get my pencils out.
PS I spray all my items outside whilst wearing a mouth/nose mask cheap ones can be purchased at any cheapy shop - also I test which way the wind is blowing, sounds daft I know but yuk if you get spray on you it does stink and stick to skin. On a last note:
PLEASE ENSURE YOU READ INSTRUCTIONS ON THE CAN.
Roll on next tutorial
Thanx
Karen
