Where To Go On Launch Day…

Oooh! Launch is getting close!

The Club and the 7 new eKits are all launching at 2 p.m. (GMT+1) on Saturday, 6th June 2009! And if you’d like to be in with a chance of getting those fabulous Fast Mover Bonuses, make sure you’re there at 2 pm!

Now when you click on that page, you’ll see a video page. That’s not a mistake - that page will change at 2 p.m. (GMT+1) to your order page. So all you need to do is ‘refresh’ your page when it’s 2 p.m. (GMT+1), and the order page will come up.

OK so here’s what to expect…

1. At 2 p.m. (GMT+1) on Saturday 6th June, the order page will go live. Just go to that page and hit your ‘refresh’ button at 2 p.m. and you’ll see it come up.
2. There you’ll be able to click the ‘Buy Now’ button and place your order to join the Club.
   • Remember - for a one week only, you’ll be able to ‘lock in’ that special monthly subscription fee of £4.99 per month (GBP).
   • If you want to be in with a chance of getting those Fast Mover Bonuses, you’ll need to be quick!
   • You can place your order by using a credit card or debit card (no matter whereabouts you are in the world).
     • Tip: Make sure you enter the year of your card’s expiry date in full (i.e. if your card’s expiry date is 06/12 then you’d write 2012)
     • Unfortunately we cannot accept Paypal payments for the Club. But you can join with a valid credit or debit card.
     • OK now this bit’s important. Please do not put anything else in your cart apart from the Club Membership. That way we’ll be able to get your membership set up asap.
3. Once you place your order, we’ll get straight onto setting up your account. As soon as your account is ready, we’ll email you with your Club access details. This may take a few hours so please do be patient with us!
4. Because you’ll have ordered during launch week, you’ll also be eligible to receive a copy of the gorgeous Love To Shop ekit as a bonus. We’ll email you this the day after you’ve placed your order.

Q. What Is The Launch Time If I Live In The United Kingdom?

If you live in the UK, the launch time is 2 p.m. on Saturday, 6th June 2009.

Q. I Really Want One Of The Fast Mover Bonuses! Will They Be Available In The eShop?

Yes, the kits that are being given away as Fast Mover Bonuses will eventually be available in the eShop. And you’ll be able to use your Club discount when you order them (if you choose to join Club).

But of course, if you order your club subscription when it launches at 2pm (GMT+1) on Saturday (6th June) then you could be in with a chance of being one of those lucky people to get those thrown in as bonuses.

Q. I Live Outside The United Kingdom. Can I Still Join The Club?

Yes. If you live outside the UK you can still join the club.

No matter where you are - USA, New Zealand, South Africa…

This is an international card making Club so it really doesn’t matter whereabouts in the world you are. You can join so long as you have a valid credit or debit card. And you can use a currency converter [like this one] to give you an idea of what your monthly subscription will cost. Here’s more information about being an international customer…

You can use a currency converter [like this one here]. But please bear in mind that the exchange rate changes every day and so this will be a rough indication only.

To find out the time in your time zone, you can visit this time converter, select ‘Use The Following Date/Time’, set it to 2pm (or 14:00), in the ‘From Time Zone’ select ‘GMT+1′, and in the next box select your time zone.

Q. I Have A Mac. Would I Still Be Able To Access The Club Portal & Use The eBooks?

Yes. You can access the online Club portal with a Mac, no problem.

And you can also use the eBooks too because they’re in ‘pdf’ format, which is a ‘universal’ format that can be opened on Macs too by using the inbuilt ‘Preview’ software or by using the free Acrobat Reader software.

    • And once you’ve used it, that’s it. There’s no more!
    • In comparison a typical ekit from the new premium range that we’re launching will have an introductory price of £7.99. The prices vary but let’s say an average eKit will be £7.99.
    • Club members will get a further 10% discount, so Club members would get that kit for a measly £7.19!
    • And whereas with those pre-printed papers, you can only use them once, with our eKits you’ll be able to print those papers again, and again, and again!
    • So let’s just say for argument’s sake, you bought one set of pre-printed papers with the exact same designs on them as in the eKit. You’d have spent £7.99, which is already great value when you consider the high quality of our designs and how expensive pre-printed papers are. But then that’s it - once you’ve used them, that’s it.
    • But our eKits are printable kits, which means that you’re saving lots money. Printing has become cheaper and cheaper and you can print just the parts you need which makes it even easier to save ink (see our ‘Printing Tips’ video).   • Also, if an order isn’t successfully completed and processed, all order details - including credit card information - are automatically removed from our system.
• You can cancel your subscription any time.
• No contracts. No strings attached. No obligation to stay on past the first month. You can cancel at any time:
  • So if at any point you decide you’d like to cancel your subscription, just drop us a line via our contact form with your details, and we’ll stop your Club membership. That’ll be it - your credit or debit card won’t be charged anymore.

There’s a lot in the Club and so we’re trying to get it all set up for you, hoping to get it all ready for you within the next week to two weeks. Back to the comments… thank you for these, everyone. I mean it’s just so nice to see that people are interested in the Club. It’s been a lot of hard work for both Jo and myself so it’s really nice to see that people are really interested in it.

Aw, thank you, Cissy! I’m sure you guys will love it when it launches. I’ve actually been going in and out of the Club Portal as it’s being built, because Jo’s actually building the Club for us, and yeah, I think it’s going to be well worth the wait!

As I said in my previous newsletter, the seven eKits that I showed you - Boudoir, Le Jardin, Little Princess, Retro Kitsch, Roselle, Decadence and Soccer ‘n’ Tech - these will be the eKits that will launch via the eShop. You don’t actually have to be a Club member to buy these but obviously I would recommend becoming a Club member because you just get so many more benefits, such as the 10% discount. So not only do you get to pick an eBook of your choice and all the other stuff I told you about in my previous newsletter, if you do want any of the new eKits you’ll be able to use your 10% discount on them. So that’s another reason why I do recommend joining the Club.

Well, it will be a monthly fee but as I said, we’re still figuring out what the pricing’s going to be. Because it’s the launch of the Club, I do want to come up with a good deal for you. So I will announce that in the next few days, through the Priority Notification List!

I also just want to go through some of the questions that some of you asked. This is one of the questions that I want to address.

Barbara asked, ‘Will you ship to the United States?’

I think at the moment we have around 13,000 people (or just under) on our main list for the Making Handmade Cards newsletter. These subscribers come from all over the world. Some come from South Africa, some are from France, some come from the USA, all over the world. And we get this question quite often.

Will you ship to (my country)?

The answer is, yes! And that’s because the only types of products we do sell are digital downloads. We don’t actually sell any physical products at the moment that we’d have to ship. So everything that you buy from the Making Handmade Cards eShop is downloadable. And we have loads and loads of customers from overseas. So honestly, don’t worry! Even if you don’t live in the United Kingdom - which is where I am based - we have loads of customers from all around the world. You’re more than welcome to place an order via our eShop, no matter where you’re from.

Also, the prices in our eShop are in Great British Pound Sterling. If you’re wondering how much something would cost in your own currency, just go to the ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ page and click on the question that says, ‘I live outside the UK. How can I find out how much your eKits cost in my own currency?’ In the answer, we link to a currency convertor that you could use. I use this as well but we’re not affiliated with their website in any way. It’s just something you could use if you fancy.

To use the currency coverter you just type in the amount, select United Kingdom Pounds GBP from the first menu, choose your currency by scrolling through the list available in the second menu, and then press, ‘Go.’ You’ll then find out what our eKits will cost in your own currency. So that’s a cool little tool!
